Le analisi consentono di chiarire la tavolozza e la tecnica della decorazione (pittura a tempera con un legante organico), e mostrano la presenza di pigmenti sia antichi che moderni (a causa di qualche recente riverniciatura). Dans cette contribution, nous présentons les traces sur le terrain et dans les archives d’un bombardement survenu à Solonte dans la nuit du 12 décembre 1942. Le point de départ de cette recherche est une photographie conservée dans les archives du Musée archéologique régional Antonio Salinas, documentant la restauration d’une citerne de Solonte suite aux bombardements alliés. Nos recherches dans les archives ont permis de reconstituer la chronologie des faits et de mettre en lumière le rôle des Surintendants des Antiquités de la Sicile occidentale, Jole Bovio Marconi puis Vincenzo Tusa, pendant et après la guerre pour protéger le patrimoine culturel.
